Hi my wife’s UK and Australian citizen. She travels on Australian passport with 5 year retirement visa, living in Thailand. Due to UK passport rules she now has to travel to UK return to Thailand using her UK passport. Her retirement Visa is in her Aussie passport. What’s the situation there please. Much appreciated. 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The situation for your wife involves traveling between the UK and Thailand using her dual citizenship. She needs to bring both her UK and Australian passports when traveling. At the airline check-in, she will use her UK passport to enter the UK, ensuring she shows her Australian passport with the retirement visa when departing back to Thailand. It's crucial that she is stamped into Thailand using her Australian passport. Additionally, having a re-entry stamp is recommended for a smooth return.

Nothing special. It's the same procedures as when dual citizens switch passports on air travel.
She brings both passports. Check into the airline with a UK passport showing a visa on an Australian passport and leaving the UK using a UK passport. When arriving in Thailand, make sure she is stamped on her Australian passport.
