What are the best practices for booking a SHA Extra+ hotel in Phuket, considering PCR and ATK tests?

I had several issues doing Phuket sandbox (not the same thing). Two things I would have done differently. Booked direct through the hotel (not Agoda or other), used a hotel that others have used with positive experiences.

My hotel's website would accept my credit card because it was not capable of handling fraud protection. I have stayed at that hotel several times, but this is the first time I used them for SHA+. They advertised they are capable but when it came time to do it, they seemed clueless.

Phuket and Bangkok operate differently. In Bangkok your test (and transport) is part of the hotel package.

In Phuket it’s not. The test is done at the airport. The transport you can arrange yourself, but you’re probably best to get the hotel to organise.
