Hi I'm flying into Bangkok for the first time on August 3rd. I have applied for the METV from the Thai embassy in London. I booked an onward flight to Kuala Lumpur on day 57 but I'll probably apply for a 30 day extension instead and rebook the trip. I heard some have been getting turned down by immigration for not having an onward journey planned so its just a precautionary measure.

Thanks for the intel guys!. Also they changed the amount from £450 to £700 on the closing statement from my bank. I wasn't ready for that detail as they state 20,000bht, thought I'd share anyway. Goalposts

Twice now I have booked a Thai airways one way ticket to Thailand and twice I have bought a bus ticket out, once to Malaysia wants to Laos. I think he cost me about £2.50.

I was annoyed because no one asked to see the tickets.

That's the price of four latte in Thailand 🤬🤬🤬🤬

For the METV it's best to show a reason why you require it, so flight into Thailand, flight out of Thailand and flight back to Thailand

Just buy a cheap flight anywhere out of Thailand and not use it
