I going to Chiang Rai for 5 days staying and also need to do border run at Chiang Saen next week. Does anyone has done border run at Chiang Saen?

As long as your plan is to cross into Laos and not Myanmar, you should be fine.

Also if you're planning on re-entering visa exempt then you just need to make sure you haven't already done 2 land entried by visa exempt this year.
