What should I know about crossing the Nong Khai border with a DTV visa for my 180-day stay?

Looking to do my first 180 days on my DTV visa soon. Planning to cross the border at Nong Khai → Vientiane to activate it.

Has anyone crossed that border recently with a DTV? Were there any issues with immigration officers (either leaving Thailand or re-entering)?

Last crossing was last March and going there every year. Next one is December. Also staying Laos couple of days. Never had any issue. Things can change but I won't panic about this border. And to be safe stay a couple of nights.
