How can I successfully apply for a DTV visa in Thailand without going through an agent?

Im posting as anonymous cause i tried to apply to the DTV with an agent and they were a disaster (compass) they ghosted me asked me the same docs over and over again, their app didnt work and made me waste a lot of time and somehow ended more stressed about it. I did it my own as took me literally 5 mins is pretty easy as long as you have compiled the docs in low resolution to be uploaded. My visa was approved and will be back in Thailand tomorrow :) thanks everyone for the tips

No money was lost (or even accepted). Has the hallmarks of an IT problem IMHO.

they had my docs and never bother to review them and kept asking them over and over. Im just saying they are a waste of time and better do it yourself instead of stress over their bad work, that’s basically the moral of the story

Thank You for your helpful report 👍

Congratulations 👏👏👏

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.

Interesting, they recently posted a post how effective their app is and an approval in Hanoi was faster via their app than the official website. DIY is best.

how possible that any app faster when Thai embassy itself? 555

App is just host for customer to upload for agent Docs and after agent do it manually same as everyone with official website.

Alex Ni U r right. It is not faster, other applicants doing it themselves have got it done in 3-5 days in Vietnam. it is just promotion for their business

Alex Ni unless they do it at the embassy, like at border and offices here they go thru the queue? I dont know, but possible?

@Toni ******
no it is not like that anymore...The app does not increase approval of your application.

i applied on Wednesday approved today morning. The app never worked for me so they kept forgetting that and never reviewed my docs they asked to send to their email. I saw the good review for the anonymous… if is a good review i dont see why hide identity and we all know is not the best to say publicly when something goes wrong hence why i am anonymous 😜
Andi ***********
Anonymous participant That is clearly not a real review, Did you get your money back from Compass? The fact you got your DTV quickly shows you did not need them.

I never even get to the paying part cause they never reviewed my docs and kept asking for the same over and over and then ghosting every time I would provide something they answer was “ we will review your docs in 1 or 2 business days” then not replying for a week 🤣and then ask for the same
