Hi all, has anyone stopped over at haikou airport in china? i have a stopover there for only 1hour 15 min and not being familiar just wondered if there's any issues with checkin and security speeds .
Answer summary
Travelers stopping over at Haikou Airport for a short duration, such as 1 hour and 15 minutes, may face challenges when connecting to their next flight due to the airport's size. It is advised to inform the senior purser on the flight to arrange for fast tracking through immigration and customs. However, if the connection time is insufficient, airlines may accommodate passengers on the next available flight and potentially provide hotel accommodation for long layovers, typically over six hours.

If you are transiting through there you shouldn’t have to clear customs and immigration
It is a huge airport and 15 minutes is not enough for a connecting flight so you'd best let the senior purser know so that ground staff can meet you at the gate as you disembark and they can fast track you through immigration, customs and check in again but quite possibly they will put you in their next available flight and if you have a long transit of over 6 hours they will provide you with accommodation near the airport usually very nice hotels with breakfast included but no transport to and from back to the airport so you better have some cash in CNY at the ready
