I’m trying to pay the fee for my Thai tourist e-Visa using a Visa card, but the payment keeps failing. I’ve tried two different Visa cards, but neither has worked.

Has anyone experienced the same issue? What should I do next? Should I wait and try again, or contact the Thai Consulate? They are not responding.

You should phone the Visa card company for their advice. I also heard there was some issues with card uses in Australia because something to do with the Government ban on the % surcharges??

The way I used a Visa card to purchase an Esim and account for my mobile with AIS in Australia, was with a Revulot account Visa card, where Aus$ were already converted to thb in the app at the best rate with no fees. This should work with an e-visa payment as well and will be like a tap and go debit card that worked at [mention redacted] and other stores and bars.

Some banks have an option to do payments / purchases only for approved countries by you (can be done in revolut app for revolut, as example). It's made to avoid fraud / money stealing. Check if this could be an issue with your bank (I assume both cards you tried to use are frome same bank).
