Has anyone here applied for the DTV under the remote work category through the Thai Embassy in Taipei? I’d love to hear about your experience. How long did the process take, and how was the outcome?
I haven’t seen many posts from applicants based in Taipei, so any insights on their approval rate or how strict they are would be really helpful.
For context, the applicant is a Taiwanese national.
Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about experiences applying for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) under the remote work category at the Thai Embassy in Taipei, focusing on the process duration and approval rates. One comment shared a past experience of a same-day approval process in Taipei, noting the importance of specific requirements like bank statements and business registration certificates for successful applications.
I applied in Taipei during its' hey day as the most popular place of application due to its' in person same day approval. As long as you understand what Taipei requires you will be fine e.g 6mths bank statements income highlighted, business registration certificates. There are less Taipei posts nowadays in part due to Softpower applicants needing to submit same docs as workcation applicants.
