What should I do if my current company will cancel my work permit after my new company processes my new visa?

Hello I need some advice,

I will end my work at current company in 30 April.

And I need 7 days after the cancellation the current work permit, because I will make a new WP and visa for new company within 7 days.

My current company said will process WP cancelation in 12 May,

But my new company will process the new WP in 2 May and expected the current company will cancel it in 30 April. Meanwhile one of requirements is must cancel the current visa first.

My questions:

1. can I get and apply additional days after 7 May?

2. Does the paperwork of wp cancellation needed when apply new WP?

3. I asked Labour Staff, they said that I must come with Local staff when WP cancelation. What actually they will do or ask to the Local staffs?

Thank you in advance for your answer, I really stuck about this ๐Ÿ˜ž

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on transitioning from their current work permit to a new one amidst potential overlaps and bureaucratic challenges. Key questions include whether they can apply for additional days after their cancellation date, the need for documentation during the application for a new work permit, and the involvement of local staff during the cancellation process. Community comments emphasize the urgency of coordinating with the new company for a smooth transition and the risks of overstaying if the 7-day extension is not granted.

If you are having to make a new visa that will be entirely down to the new company. Most companies want you to get a new Non-B visa outside of Thailand as the paperwork they need to supply is much less challenging

You need to liaise more and have your new company do the wp and extension on the same day the old ones are cancelled.

If you apply for the 7 days extension denied extension, you HAVE TO leave the country.
