I'm in currently in Thailand and planning to go to Vientiane next month, I already got an appointment for Nov 12th. On their website it says that any documents in languages other than Thai or English must be translated and notarized. My bank statement is in French, I can get it translated in Bangkok but the French embassy here won't notarize my bank statement. Anyone been in the same situation?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to handle a bank statement written in French, which requires notarization, for a visa appointment in Vientiane. They learned that the French embassy in Thailand does not notarize the document, despite needing it to be translated and notarized according to the appointment's requirements.
Just a wild guess but the name on your statement would be the same as your passport, English, and the numbers reflecting your balance are numbers not language. Just highlight those 2 items and pray.
