Hi. A post was just closed without ANY help at all. I am asking what happens if you are refused to leave at the Mae Sai border. And was told to "use my imagination".

I understand the admin here are probably sick of stupid questions but I have always commended the thankless work they do and never given attitude.

Just looking for help. What happens.. using my imagination isn't good enough because I don't know, that's why I'm asking!

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you're refused exit at the Mae Sai border, it could be due to reasons such as exceeding the maximum number of visa-exempt entries allowed in a calendar year or your nationality restrictions. To resolve the situation, you can visit the Immigration Office to address any issues, withdraw cash if needed for a fee, or consider using a different border crossing or airport to leave Thailand.

The only reason I know of people being refused to be allowed to stamp out at the Mae Sai - Tachiliek border with Myanmar would be because you already have TWO 30 day visa exempt entries by land in a calendar year OR because you're from a country that can't bounce at that border.

As people suggested in this post, if you're denied exiting at one border, try another land border OR fly out/back in.

You get stopped for a reason, depending on that reason you visit your Immigration Office to clear the problems, OR you book an flight out of Thailand if you are not allowed due to to any border runs in one year. If you are not allowed because they did want to see cash you visit a ATM, take the cash and try again. If you stand in front of the Immigration Officer who refuse you to leave and you can not figure out any other way to leave Thailand due to the reason why you are blocked feel free to give me a call. I would come over to guide you hand in hand.
