Hello dears, currently in Laos - Interview on Friday for DTV with Muay Thai. Does anybody have some information which kind of questions they might ask and how we can prepare? Thank you 🙏🏼
Answer summary
The response provides insights on preparing for the DTV visa interview for Muay Thai enthusiasts in Laos. Interviewees can expect general questions about their visa application, the reasons for applying, and their Muay Thai training duration. It is crucial to have access to a banking app on your phone for the embassy staff to verify your bank balance, as they may not provide Wi-Fi. Applicants should also be ready to present proof of payment for training classes and have related documents stored on their devices. Overall, the process is described as straightforward, with many emphasizing the importance of being prepared.

I got mine in Laos. Make sure you have an internet connection on your phone to be able to show them your banking app (they won't give the the wifi access in the embassy, they are pretty rude in there tbh) I had to use hotspot from one of the security guys because I didn't want to buy a sim card for like 5 minutes worth of usage..
The guy conducting the interview asks you the name of your school. How did you pay for it (he'll ask to see a receipt) ... They didn't ask to see my banking statements (even though I was told to have 6 months of it printed out,) they were more interested in the Bank App on my phone....it's a pretty chill process overall. Also he will ask how you intend to support yourself....Just have proof of everything you submitted in the application.
He was holding the papers while asking me which gym I was going to, the start and finish dates, and how long I had been practicing Muay Thai.
Then he checked my bank statement, you need to have the banking app on your phone. He will look at your latest transactions to make sure the money wasn’t deposited in the last few days.
