Hello all, I’m asking for some info for my girlfriend who is Thai. She’s a tennis coach already working for a coaching academy but she’s into training also, she wishes to start a ‘beach boot camp’; functional strength and conditioning training in a group environment on the beach.
This would ofcourse be an independent endeavour and she wouldn’t have the comforts of being employed by a company, we’re wondering what needs to be done with regards to declaring the income made and also potential permits required to deliver these sessions on the beach.
I understand this is quite a nuanced question but any help would be appreciated🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about the requirements for their Thai girlfriend, a tennis coach, who wishes to start an independent beach boot camp focusing on functional strength and conditioning. The discussion revolves around necessary business registration, tax declarations, permits for using the beach, and potential challenges related to income generation. Suggestions include consulting local authorities for relevant regulations and exploring partnerships with hotels, gyms, and sports associations.
She would need to check with the local authorities about beach use / public spaces & registering a biz.
I doubt that there's enough interest groups in the farang circles to providea good income, but there are other ways, offer her services at hotels or resorts that have courts, ask at the local schools & sports associations... Google tennis thailand & contact all that have anything to offer re tennis... also speak to gyms & mui thai schools...
partner, shes only 18 (I’m 19) and she’s always been employed so knows very little about this part of business, but thanks for the info you’ve given. I’m sure we’ll figure it oit
