Looking for some advice please?

We are looking at the best visa option for my wife (UK passport holder) to spend more time in Thailand, tentatively from October to May. Probably stay the whole time but might want to make occasional trip back to Europe if required. We have started to look and see a lot of People suggest Education Visa. Look forward to comments from knowledge and personal experience, cheers BB

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is seeking advice on the best visa option for their wife, a UK passport holder, to stay in Thailand from October to May. Suggestions include the Multiple Entry Non Immigrant O Visa for those over 50, allowing for an initial 90-day stay with border runs for extensions, and the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa for those under 50, which provides 60 days initially, with the option to extend through border runs.

If she is older than 50 years, apply for the 1 year Multiple Entry Non Immigrant O Visa based on being over 50 years of age. She will get 90 days to stay, than a border run for a new 90 day period etc till the enter before/valid until date of the visa. Other option is the Multiple Entry Non Immigrant O-A visa which gives you a 1 year entry at each entry for the duration of the visa.
Robert *******
If she is younger than 50 years of age, best option is the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa, with this visa she gets 60 days admitted to stay and than make a border run to other country, come back in to get new 60 days of stay. If done at the just before or on the last day of this 6 months valid visa you can get almost 270 days of stay out of it

I know a couple lads who weren’t working and still got the METV loon. No checks were made . Go for the METV

Robert, we have looked at that option and one of the supporting documents required is a letter from your employer confirming you are in employment? We don't have this as my wife is now retired but under 50? They offer an alternative document to supply which is proof of your pension, we don't have that either? This info was from Glasgow Thai consulate
