Hi guys, got a question about spouse visa. On the Thai embassy website it says that I don’t need a marriage certificate. It says I can get an official document certifying a relationship. Can anyone tell me what this document is?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquires about an official document that certifies their relationship for a spouse visa in Thailand, instead of a marriage certificate. Respondents provide various insights, indicating that such a document could be related to a domestic partnership. However, there's ambiguity regarding its acceptability for visa purposes, with some suggesting that it may not be sufficient for entry and can vary by consular requirements.

said we have been there done that. Can be a marriage cerificate from any country but you need that bit of paper which countless people have told me its worthless its only a bit of paper.
It is possible to get an official document stating your in a domestic partnership. I had to do this to get my partner on my company health insurance although I think you would need to be in Thailand to do this. I also don’t think it’s enough to grant you entry at the moment unfortunately.
Dear Barry Mutch, sorry for butting into your conversation; but I am very interested in this document stating official partnership. As my Austrian Wife won't divorce me (Widow's pension) and visa to stay here in Thailand are very hard to get right now, maybe that would solve my problems. Would you be so kind and send me closer details or perhaps some links. I really would appreciate that.
