Has anyone ever run into issues while doing a visa renewal through the border? for example had to show proof of on an ongoing muay thai training?

From the feedback from my customers it is very rare to be questioned about on going muay thai activity. When they have been questioned most just verbally confirmed and were admitted. A few showed photos of training or social media posts.

Getting questioned, even its very rare is already to much in my opinion. What if you are questioned and you are currently not enrolled in training or you changed the gym? If you just say "yes" you already lied which is an offense under thai law and could lead to big troubles down the line. I got in trouble at the border last time for not leaving the country as ealry as I said on my previous visit when I was questioned by immigration officer. Even though I did not overstay or break any rule... Nowadays nobody knows anymore what is okay and what is not okay... but glad you try to help your students as much as possible.

there is nothing such as a "visa renewal". Your DTV is valid for 5 years from the date of issue and it can't be "renewed". You can only get the next ADMITTED STAY PERMIT stamp for another 180 days by doing a border bounce

Anonymer Teilnehmer Fact only is that some Immigration officers are in a bad mood on some days, and will think it is within their rights to demand from you to stay outside of Thailand for a few nights. And that despite your multiple entry visa type makes you ELEGIBLE to do a same-day border run

OPExactly, thats my question. Why would it be a problem? If it was all that simple, why do people in this thread report of troubles when re-entering thailand? Apparantely its not all that clear and there is some room for interpretation and arbitrariness

Anonymer Teilnehmer maybe people on visa-exempt border bounces. Why would a border bounce be a problem on a valid multiple re-entry visa type like the DTV, the Non-Imm-O/A visa or the METV? That's what the multi re-entry permit is supposed for

I had pulled out my phone and pretended I was going to make a call.
He asked who are you calling and I said my lawyer because this isn't right. I was stamped within 1 minute lol.
If your legit don't be afraid to challenge them.
If your not you can pay 3-5000 and no questions asked.
They are a pack of corrupt scum bags and I just don't adhere to that crap.

Anonymous participant 815 Why are there no verifiable reports? Always anonymous participants, nicknames, burner and sock puppet profile posts and responses. Names or even ranks of Immigration Officers are never posted. Neither are denied entry stamps when requested. Once, you did think ahead and posted that the Immigration Officer had failed to stamp your passport. You need to think up some new obstacles for DTV holders.
