Hi all,

I applied with AXA nearly two weeks ago. I sent an email last week to obtain a status update and they acknowledged receipt but are still working on it.

For those that applied with AXA, is this the normal process? If so, how long did it take to get a decision?

Are there any other reputable and approved insurance companies?

I am hoping to move soon and I’m seeking the 10 year Wealthy Pensioner LTR. I know there are other easier or better VISA options but I simply like the benefits this LTR affords.

TIA

It happened the same with me and never heard anything back from them so went with Allianz Ayudhya instead.

I used AIA. Be aware.

I paid $2700AUD for 12 months. I have zero existing health issues. I made a claim for a small amount for a skin issue and they never paid out. All their correspondence is in Thai, although they're set up as an expat provider.

My agent who is well known on forums touting for business just stopped communicating with me after I decided not to renew my policy.

I post my experiences up so others don't get scammed.

Wow, sorry that happened to you but thanks for sharing your experience. I’ actively looking for other options. Thanks again!

I went through an agent for mine and got my policy within 5 minutes via email delivery. I then had to upload the entire policy, including the 36 pages to BOI for the LTR(WP) visa

this sounds sweet! I was attempting to apply on my own. The insurance has been the only bottleneck for me.

Seems like a long time. I used LMG and it wasn’t that long.

If you haven’t been warned, they all tend to deny people who are 70 or above or clinically obese.

thanks, I think it seems unreasonably long as well. I am grateful that I’m just 50 and in good health but this is my indication to look into other options.
