Question: When documentation is requested (via Washington DC) how long do we have to submit the requested paperwork? I ask because I would like to wait for my June Statement to print…i have 18,700 K USD on that one. In May I had 17,500K but in april I did not have the amount I think I was at like 14k USD. Also my full name is not on this account just my First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name. Should I include a page explaining situation? On initial submission i submitted one statement, a current screen shot of the balance and two tax returns. What do you guys recommend?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the time frame for submitting additional documentation requested by the U.S. embassy in Washington DC for a visa application. They wish to wait for their June bank statement to show a higher balance. Community responses indicate that while there may not be a strict time limit, the submission should ideally be made within 10 working days to avoid application cancellation.
Anonymous participant 425 yes thats my dilemma im going to wait to get junes and i will have 2 but i will have to plead my case as far as the 3rd one hopefully it works out
you mean 10 working days in total from when i first applied or 10 working days to respond with the information from date they email me the extra request? Its already been 10 working days from when i first applied for them to even look at my application. They just emailed me yesterday and i applied on the 11th
understood. I may just wait until my June statement populates thats a few days from now. That way i can at least have 2 statements over the 16k amount and ill just explain that there were constant deposits on the one that doesnt show
