How long ago? You can still be denied entry even with a Visa usually based on your recent stay history.

around the last 3 years. Yeah you gotta fly in to chiang mai or use land border. Obviously then still no guarantee

There is no yes or no answer. Each embassy makes their own decision on this. Some might approve it and some might not.

Some might approve it today but not approve it tomorrow. There isn't a set policy.
