TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a Non-O visa followed by a 12-month extension in Thailand, deposit ฿800,000 in a Thai bank account in your name. Visit the local immigration office to request their specific checklist, as requirements may vary by province. Ensure you keep the balance above ฿800,000, and on the day of application, acquire a bank statement showing the seasoned funds. You will also need a lease or contract for your residence. Dress respectfully when visiting immigration, remain patient, and be prepared to pay a fee of 1,900 baht for the extension.

Open bank account and deposit at least 800k baht. Do not let it drop below 800k. Get letter and statement from your bank showing the seasoned funds on the day you plan to apply. Get a lease or contract for a place of residence. Dress appropriately and respectfully to visit immigration - get checklist as each province can have slightly different rules to abide by. Be patient at immigration - no matter how irritating it may be, show respect. Its really not hard. Pay 1900 baht and that's it.

Thanks, I forgot the amount we paid the first time - I just knew the last two times we paid 1900 each.

Put ฿800k in a Thai bank account in your name only. Go visit immigration and ask for their checklist. Follow the instructions.
