Looking to get O-A visa. Uk citizen and passport holder in the UK.When l look on London Thai embassy it states amount in uk bank 800k baht but the seasoning time is not stated. Where can the  2 month seasoning requirement be found on their website?

Also you may find that a savings account will only offer a specified higher interest rate on the monies left there untouched for a specific time. As said previously it's all mashed into one now.

Yes.. Saving account give interest above of minimum AQB, while current account give no interest and need AQB more then saving account.

ATM card and cheque book facilities same.

Current account facilitate money when you deposits cheque before clearing, but saving account no.

Current have higher withdraw/ deposite cash amount, saving have limitation.

Normally a current account is the account that a cheque book and debit cards are issued against, your salary/pension or whatever income you might have will be paid into, and any direct debits/standing orders will be set up against. In the "old days", a current account paid no interest and a savings account paid interest, although these days that distinction has blurred a bit.

Same thing as far as I know , I showed what I thought was my saving account when I applied for my visa , they are the ones my bank gave me anyway when I requested copies from them for proof .

Clarification please guys on Adrian Hide's assertion that O-A funds in UK need to be in Current Account not a Savings Account. This is what the Embassy say....Bank statement or evidence of adequate finance showing a deposit of the amount equal to and not less than 800,000 Baht or an income certificate with monthly income of not less than 65,000 Baht, (approximately £18,000.00 / annum) or a deposit account plus a monthly income totalling not less than 800,000 Baht. If you send a copy of bank statement, the original reference letter from the banking concerned is necessary.

If you are applying in London for a non o-a visa your funds need to be in a current account not a savings account

I confused from Adrian Hide comments.

I completed almost all my documents.

Adrian Hide told about CURRENT Account for 800k bath.

I never read about it. I am in INDIA.

Even neither in checklist of embassy.

I have combination of saving, term deposit and pension.

Tod.. I need your comments urgently.

I moving tomorrow to vfs global.

You won’t need it for your first year .. you need to show your uk bank statements at this time .
