TLDR : Answer Summary
The community discussion reveals a mixed but predominantly negative sentiment towards WR Life Insurance Company. Many commenters warn against using the service, labeling it a scam or Ponzi scheme, citing difficulties with claim payouts and a lack of regulatory oversight. Some users, however, share personal positive experiences regarding claims being settled. It is suggested that potential customers opt for local Thai insurance companies instead, as they are believed to offer more reliable services.

All insurance companies are a risk, you only find out when you claim. They all have good and bad reports and they will all try and find a reason not to pay out. Many failed claims can be traced back to customers failure to comply with insurers rules and information requests.

I made a claim last year after being with them for 6 years with no claim. They paid out 50% of the claim. The claim was for a stroke. Considering I had a previous stroke and was included in pre-conditions, I was happy with 50%.

Heard 99% bad and 1% good. The good probably comes from people who post that work for them.

I am with them and have been for 3 years have not had to make a claim thus far, however I know 4 people that have and all have had their claims paid in full direct to the hospital.

Wrlife has no insurance license in Thailand or UK though it claims to be a UK company. Their insurance license is in St. Kitts & Nevis, BVI. If you have any issues with settling claims you have no recourse to any regulatory bodies. Their premiums are cheap for a reason, very much a case of too good to be true.

I have WR Life and find them difficult to communicate with. Some people have had positive experiences, some have not. I have not had a claim, so I don't know how they would handle it.

I asked my broker about them as prices seemed reasonable, he said they have a very bad rep in the industry, refusing payouts etc. better stay away as others have said.
