I applied in Vientiane on the 18.07.25 and got today my date for the interview. Its on the 06.08.25. So right now- July 25- you have to expect 2-3 weeks processing time for DTV in Laos.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An individual shared that they applied for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Vientiane on July 18, 2025, and received an interview date for August 6, 2025, indicating a current expected processing time of 2-3 weeks for DTV visas in Laos. Comments suggest that there may be possibilities to request interview rescheduling based on personal travel needs.

Are you complaining about the wait time ? I don’t know why you would go to the one embassy in south east Asia that requires an interview 🀣

Not sure if I am complaining. Its rather a information for everybody. But you are right. I dont know if I would apply again in Vientiane. It seems to take longer than e.g. in Hanoi and many people dont like Vientiane. Laos people are VERY friendly though and that was a nice experience so far. On the other hand the city is full of "uncultivated chinese" πŸ˜‰

You can contact them and ask for an earlier interview. Someone did that last week and got it changed and i know another person who did the same last month.
