How long does it take to get DTV visa approval when applying from Vietnam or Laos?
Yo! How long is the visa approval for DTV if I’m applying from Vietnam or Laos? Thanks in advance yo! 🫶🏽
Answer summary
The approval time for a DTV visa when applying from Vietnam or Laos varies. Responses indicate processing can take anywhere from a few days to up to 10 business days. Specific experiences shared include approvals in 4 days after payment and cases where it took approximately one week. Factors such as the intended arrival date on the application may influence the speed of processing. Additionally, there are mandatory interviews for DTV visa applicants at the consulates in Laos, which may cause delays.

The two consulates in Lao (Vientiane AND Savannakhet) have mandatory interview for DTV visa approval, that's what's been taking the time, they have a lag between when you apply, go pay in person, and when they contact you and tell you to come for the interview

Allow for 10 business days… some have been shorter , some
Longer.
From my understanding it also depends on your intended arrival date you write in your application.
People who have put closer arrival dates seem to have go them quicker then someone 2 months out. ( not sure if this is computer generated or not)
