Hi! I am receiving conflicting information. I entered Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa and would like to extend.
Is there a time frame that I need to wait prior to applying for an extension?
Is 30 days the max extension I can request at one time?
What exactly is needed? 1 passport picture, the blue slip received on entry, copy of main passport page (not stamps) and 1900 baht. Proof of accomadation?
Is that correct? Many Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend a 60-day tourist visa in Thailand, you can apply for a 30-day extension at an immigration office. You need to visit the office during the last 30 days of your current visa validity. Required documents typically include: your passport, a copy of the ID page, a copy of the entry stamp, a copy of your visa page or email confirmation, the TM6 Departure card, 1 passport-sized photo, and a fee of 1,900 THB. Some offices may also require proof of residence, such as a copy of your address registration.
hotels file them for you, so ask the one you're at if they did. OR just go try for the 30 day extension and see if they ask you for a TM30 or not. There are 3 locations you can get 30 day regular extensions in Phuket the main office, Patong, or Blue Tree..
Blue Tree is by far the quietest. Patong Beach the next and then the main one in Phuket Town the busiest. You do not need an appointment at any. Just rock up, get a queue number and go. During the process of getting the queue number theyāll check you have all the right copies and forms, and show you where to go to get anything you donāt have. Blue Tree or Patong May not be using queue numbers. I havenāt used either for some time.
not for a tourist extension. Personally Iād go around 3.30pm when youād probably find thereās no one around. They all close between 12-1pm for lunch
What is the TM6 and TM7 forms I need? I see online they are closed tomorrow? (May not be accurate!) And any idea what time they are open until? Hope to fi ally go Tomorrow. Manu thanks
TM6 is your departure card. Probably stapled in to your passport on arrival. TM7 is the application form for an extension. Available at your local immigration office.
moving around is good, but every time you reside at an address your address must be registered within 24 hours. Every hotel ask your passport to make this report.
