Chiang Mai. Non 0 retirement extension. What is the process of changing from Thai bank method to pension method. What forms, copies required . I used to do this years ago. But my consulate stopped issuing financial affidavits.
Answer summary
To switch from the Thai bank method to the pension method for your Non-O retirement visa extension, you need to show that you have been receiving a minimum of 65,000 THB each month in your Thai bank account from overseas for the previous 12 months. Ensure that your transfers are labeled as international, as this is crucial for approval. While the pension method involves your Thai bank, you must maintain the previous bank balance requirements as stipulated, even as you demonstrate your incoming international transfers.

Make sure the transfer show transfer number not always show if banks transfer imt I think, been rejected few times becouse that
The "pension method" still involves a Thai bank as you must transfer minimum 65k each month from overseas into your Thai bank account. Before you can extend on this method you must already have 12 months worth of 65k transfers to show

switching from banked money method to proof of funds based on monthly income from abroad (for countries whose embassies don't issue income affidavits) works like this
You MEET the requirements for the extension you're on using banked money method <- meaning you keep the 800K baht in the bank for 3 months after the extension is granted and then you never let the balance go below 400K baht the rest of the year until your next extension application.
AND
While you're doing that, you transfer in to your thai bank account from abroad a minimum of 65k baht each month, every month for 12 months so that when you go to get your extension you can show a year's worth of incoming international transfers.
you get a year transaction report showing every transaction on that bank account for the last year <- that is how the immigration office will check that you followed the seasoning for the banked money extension you're on now AND that's how they will check to see that you met each month's required transfer for the extension you will be applying for..
It can be done, it's not brain science or rocket surgery, just takes planning..
