Here is a report on Vientiane Visa using the new E-Visa System.
I applied for NON-O as a parent.
Got into Vientiane 9pm Sunday Night and was logged into the Thai Visa system to prepare the application. The system is very smooth and very easy to navigate.
Booked on sunday night and printed off the visa payment document from the dashboard and took that next morning between 9-12 to Thai Consulate in rue bourachine Vientiane.
Paid $2000 bht and then within 20 minutes two images were requested:
A new image of the Birth Certificate.
A new image of the Mothers Identity.
By Wednesday 9.30am I had the Visa and by 4pm I was back home.
the interesting part is normally they would have requested many other multiple of documents based on the individual circumstances, it appears their new system has a lot of history tracking as they had no queries whatsoever other than a request for a clearer image.
Major improvement.
