Here is a report on Vientiane Visa using the new E-Visa System.

I applied for NON-O as a parent.

Got into Vientiane 9pm Sunday Night and was logged into the Thai Visa system to prepare the application. The system is very smooth and very easy to navigate.

Booked on sunday night and printed off the visa payment document from the dashboard and took that next morning between 9-12 to Thai Consulate in rue bourachine Vientiane.

Paid $2000 bht and then within 20 minutes two images were requested:

A new image of the Birth Certificate.

A new image of the Mothers Identity.

By Wednesday 9.30am I had the Visa and by 4pm I was back home.

the interesting part is normally they would have requested many other multiple of documents based on the individual circumstances, it appears their new system has a lot of history tracking as they had no queries whatsoever other than a request for a clearer image.

Major improvement.

TLDR : Answer Summary
I successfully applied for a NON-O visa in Vientiane using the new E-Visa system. The application process was smooth and straightforward. I applied online on a Sunday evening, paid the fee of 2000 THB at the Thai Consulate the next morning, and received my visa by Wednesday morning. The system efficiently managed my documents with minimal requests, showcasing its improvements.

I applied on sunday night like 4am in the morning as the visa access I believe was denied unless you are IN the country. So I processed that application very early monday before they opened anywhere, printed off the reciept, paid at the consultate, got it by wednesday. Can be done in 3 business days. You have to pay between 9-12 on each day. no good if late, wait an extra day etc.

Were you required to show the 400K baht or equivalent in a bank for this 90 day Non-O visa based on raising thai child?
