I just got my **DTV Visa** approved, and I wanted to share my experience to help those currently going through the process.

📍 **Context:**
* I live in **Koh Samui**, and after a visa extension, I decided to apply for the **DTV Visa** in **Ho Chi Minh City**.
## **🗓️ My Step-by-Step Process:**

🔹 **Monday, March 10 – Online Application Submission**
Documents provided:
✅ Passport
✅ Proof of presence in Vietnam (*flight ticket, Vietnam visa, receipt from a local purchase*)
✅ Last 3 bank statements (*showing a balance of over 500K THB for more than 3 months*)
✅ Official company document (*translated into English*)
✅ Explanation of the company’s activities (*I specified that my business operates only in France*)
✅ 3 client contracts

🔹 **Wednesday, March 13 – Additional Documents Requested**
The consulate asked for:
🔹 Bank statements translated into English (*I translated them myself*)
🔹 A photo
🔹 A copy of all passport pages

🔹 **Friday, March 15 – Returned to Thailand**
I decided to return to Thailand while waiting for the final approval.

🔹 **Monday, March 17 – Visa Approved at 10 PM!** 🎉

You came back to Thailand before it was approved? Can you explain more? I also live here in Thailand and am slightly concerned that I didn’t book enough time in Jakarta (1 week) for the application process. Are you planning to exit Thailand and re-enter to activate it? Does it have to be at the same entry point as the application? I imagine you are on a tourist visa currently? Did you also apply for e-visa tourist? Thank you!

I am also requested a bank statement in English, may I ask if you translate every words in English? My bank statemnet is 9 pages, and the last page is full of remarks and unnecessary bank information in Chinese 😅

Same as me! I applied in HCM on the 9th night (Sunday), additional doc requested 2 times on 12th morning and afternoon, replied on the same day, visa approved yesterday Monday 17th at 5:30pm!

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
