Hey! Question - when applying to the DTV freelancer route in Vietnam, do we have to prove the 500,000 THB minimum financial requirement for the past 3 or 6 months? I don't see it on the Thai's official website

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the DTV freelancer route in Vietnam, it appears that the minimum financial requirement can vary. Some applicants mention a 3-month requirement, while others experienced being asked for 6 months of proof. It's recommended to check the specific Thai embassy's website for clarity and to search for experiences shared by others in the expat community.

I was just approved in HCMC 6 days ago, but applied for softpower.

On the Online platform where you are applying they ask for 3 months, but I was requested afterwards to send 6 months.

For Hanoi last year when I applied, no. But Idk about Ho Chi Minh city.

You should use the search bar in the group and type in the embassy that you want to apply at to see what other successful applicants have done.

I like what you said in another post: "Some people try to get away with as little paperwork as possible, other people make a serious and organized attempt to convince the embassy of their intention and qualifications to get a visa approval."

If you can, provide the maximum of what they ask or more. That worked brilliantly for me

There are lot of good detailed post here from people that applied to Ho Chi Min or Hanoi. You can also follow the guidance of other successful applicant from other countries. Search the group with city, maybe even type of dtv.

Take your time, review, review and review again! Chok dee kaa 🙏

Go to the Thai Embassy website of the embassy you're using and read through their visa requirements. There are two Thai embassies in Vietnam.
