Hello! Thorght I would share my experience from Phnom Penh to BKK!
I was more than 2 years in Thailand and went on an extended visa run to Cambodia (3 weeks, my friend 2 weeks) I was on a mix of ed, non-o and covid extensions.
On arrival to bkk, I got through- no issues, didn't need to show any money, onward flight, hotel booking ect.... Neither did my buddy who was on an earlier flight.
I came in on a tourist visa from the consulate, my friend VOA.
I was so nervous before this flight as I was expecting it to be difficult.
Phew, I'm back in Thailand ๐
Thorght I would share in case there were others like me who were absolutely bricking it ๐
It might not be the same for everyone though, so there is still risk I guess.
Good luck ๐ค

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post shares an individual's positive experience of re-entering Thailand from Phnom Penh after a visa run. The traveler, who had been living in Thailand for over two years, felt nervous due to potential entry challenges but found the process surprisingly smooth. Upon arrival in Bangkok, they were not asked for additional documentation like hotel bookings or proof of funds, contrary to common requirements, which eased their anxiety. The conversation includes comments asking for details about document requirements and COVID testing results.
Did you get your day1 PCR test done? Do you have the results back? What are the results? Also did they ask to see the Covid insurance? And last which hotel you booked for day1?
I mean some guy had no paperwork at all and he got through ๐ he probably had it all in his phone. I know because he was all in a worry about it before hand, he didn't have an onward flight either or the cash.
nope, I had them and the cash but didn't show anything except Thai pass , they did look at my papers before check in at Phnom Penh though so not sure how strict those guys are. I think they just checked the insurance, vaccine and Thai pass.
