What is the current feedback on Destination Thailand Visa applications from Australia using the Soft Power route?

Jan 16, 2026
I am seeking recent feedback (from the last few months) regarding Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) applications submitted in Australia via the Soft Power route. Specifically, I am interested in:

1. Are applicants still receiving approvals using the 'Discover Thai Nature' 1-year seminar program?

2. Are 6-month cooking courses still sufficient for approval, or is it now advisable to book a 1-year course to ensure success?

I comfortably meet the financial requirements and have already researched previous related posts. Thank you for your assistance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent feedback indicates that applicants are still receiving approvals for the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) via the 'Discover Thai Nature' seminar program, with approvals noted as recently as three weeks ago in Sydney. While some applicants suggest that one-year courses provide a more secure choice for approval, six-month cooking courses may still be acceptable, especially if financial requirements are met.

There are a few consulates in Australia. Use the group search tool with the name of the consulate and start reading the results. In general one year courses are a more secure choice.

Do you have regular monthly income as well? It is recommended for higher chance of approval.
