TLDR : Answer Summary
The cost for medical insurance covering at least $100,000 varies, often influenced by age and health conditions. It is often suggested to obtain quotes from expat insurance brokers or specific companies like AXA for non-OA visa purposes. It's also indicated that insurance must be purchased from a Thai company for certain visa types, particularly the O-A retirement visa.

based on retirement (>50)? if so, and you have pre existing conditions change to visa and apply for non-O 90 days, no insurence required

Why choose a Non-OA where you need insurance to meet the requirements of the application? Choose the Non-O where you are free to get any insurance that meets your specific requirements.
