TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the cost of medical insurance in Thailand that covers at least $100,000 and whether it needs to be purchased from a Thai insurance company. Comments suggest checking expatcompares.com for quotes and indicate that the need for insurance may be related to visa applications, particularly for the NON-OA visa. Recommendations for specific insurance providers like AXA and Tenzing Pacific Services are mentioned, along with considerations for age, health status, and pre-existing conditions.

based on retirement (>50)? if so, and you have pre existing conditions change to visa and apply for non-O 90 days, no insurence required

Why choose a Non-OA where you need insurance to meet the requirements of the application? Choose the Non-O where you are free to get any insurance that meets your specific requirements.
