On renewal of EofS Marriage seasoned money is it 90 days or three calendar months? Counting from the date it was deposited for the requirement. Just confusion when chatting with Someone about wording as 90 Day reporting (TM47) EofS mentions 3 months seasoned. I said count 90 days from when first deposited to the requirement. It’s nice to be clear but as with Thai immigration I dare say it isn’t clear.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for seasoned money for the EoS Marriage extension is not 90 days or three calendar months. It is specifically stated that you need to have 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account in your name for two months before applying for the extension. The discussions clarify that 90-day reporting is a separate issue and does not pertain to the seasoning period of funds.

It’s 2 month.

Example

15th Jan -15th feb -15th March.

Doesn’t matter how many days in a month.

14 years I’ve been doing it and they have never questioned the days.

neither 😮

The actual rule as it's written for a marriage extension using the banked money method is

You need 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for TWO months before the date you APPLY for the extension.

90 day reporting doesn't mention anything about seasoning funds because it's just 90 day reporting a completely different thing.

that's 2 months date to date remember months aren't days and sometimes 2 months is more than 60 days 🙂 (and once in a while it's less if you are doing something during Feb 😉 )

Thanks for confirming. That’s exactly what Su (my wife) was saying when I asked her with her tutting at me. And me being old and forgetful and I get a little confused. But yes makes sense. And you proved her right so she’s very happy 😊
