Hi everyone,

I currently have an LLC with funds in my business account and I’m based in Vietnam. I’m looking for the simplest and most straightforward place to apply for the DTV visa. I’m open to traveling to another country if it makes the process easier. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who’s had a smooth experience—where did you go, and how was it?

Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A community member is seeking advice on the easiest location to apply for a DTV visa while currently based in Vietnam. Responses highlight that applicants must have at least 500,000 Baht in a personal, accessible bank account rather than a business account. Several members recommend applying in Da Nang or Hanoi, with personal experiences shared about successful applications from these cities. Concerns about potential delays during high visa application seasons and the necessity of additional documentation are also discussed.

I applied using my Limited company in the UK. I sent them a screenshot and link that my name is listed as the company director and that the company is currently active. They didn't ask for any proof of income but I sent them screenshots and links to my website homepage, portfolio and case study as proof of work. The funds were in my personal account and not for the full three months. I applied from Jakarta

Apply in Hanoi, skip HCMC. You'll do great 👍

Ok. I do have the money in my personal account thank you, ChatGPT error. So I apply online with the paper work in da nang and then go to Hanoi afterwards. Sorry if I misunderstood.

HCMC best wait for the typhoon to pass, could be some serious flooding etc

First you transfer at least 500.000 Baht to your personal bank account, since it is you and not your company who apply.

Then you wait the number of months that the specific Embassy need you to have the money in your account.

Then you apply, and remember the high season for visa applications has started, so it may take longer to get, than described in other posts, and on the Embassy website.

Additional documentation demand, resets the processing clock to zero, so you may have to stay long time in the country you apply in.

I applied for my DTV last Monday while staying in Da Nang and it was approved today. After sending in additional docs by Wednesday so it took a week to get approved via Hanoi

The funds for the DTV need to be in a personal instant accessible account not a business account. Vietnam is very popular to apply for the DTV, may as well apply there as you live there.
