TLDR : Answer Summary
A user currently in Nepal is inquiring about the best option for obtaining a 60-day tourist visa to Thailand, as their application takes about 2 weeks, while they have a flight to Bangkok tomorrow. Comments suggest that Laos (specifically Vientiane and Savannakhet) is usually an easy option, but there are warnings about possible rejection if already having multiple tourist visas this year. Additionally, Penang is mentioned as a walk-in option, although it has become less applicant-friendly due to tightening rules.

Penang isn't overly applicant friendly and tightening the rules

Penang. No visa needed. Walk in service

Laos is usually the easiest. But many embassies in SE Asia are in the process of tightening their restrictions so if you've already had 1-2 tourist visas this year, they may reject.

Vientiane requires an appointment but Savannakhet does not.
