Flying from Heathrow today to Bahrain and then on to Bangkok via Gulf Air.
I would recommend getting to check in early (we got here 3.5 hours before flight) as it took us over 1 hour to check in.
PRINT OFF EVERYTHING!
There was no checking of anything on mobile , everything was paper checked - RT-PCR (Make sure this has your correct passport number), Covid certificates, Thailand Pass etc.
Good luck!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers flying from Heathrow to Bangkok via Bahrain are advised to check in early, allowing at least 3.5 hours before the flight due to lengthy check-in processes. It’s crucial to print all necessary documents, including RT-PCR test results and Covid certificates, as mobile checks are not accepted. The importance of having multiple copies of these documents is emphasized, especially when passing through multiple airports.
Traveling is stressful enough and we only do it on occassion. Bring triplicate if you pass thru 3 airports. Departure, connection, arrival. Leftover paper serves as shopping list note paper. Nothing wasted.
The majority of people won’t have a dead battery but they weren’t checking anyone in by the phones which would have meant not spending 1 hour in the queue. Every passenger took around 10 mins at the desk to go through a process which could take a few mins if QR’s used. If battery dead then use the persons printer documents.
