TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers have reported mixed experiences when flying out of Heathrow Terminal 2 to Bangkok. Recent accounts include a traveler mentioning they could only enter the terminal 3 hours before their flight, experiencing an hour-long check-in line, followed by a 20-minute wait at security. Another traveler reported a longer check-in time of 90 minutes and delays with baggage claim upon returning. In contrast, some found their check-in to be much quicker, with only an hour wait and minimal security delays. Overall, there are concerns over Terminal 2's efficiency, but business class travelers expressed optimism about smoother experiences.

I’m flying into and out of T2 with Eva next week returning to Bangkok early Sept. Hopefully it’s a smooth experience travelling in business class.
Thankfully I’ve only traveled business class long haul for about the last 20 years so no worries there 🤣. T2 will be new to me though.

T2 isn't actually fit for purpose.

Flew t4 a few weeks back and it was OK about an hour for check in and 15 minutes for security. Coming back was the worst I've had collecting baggage that took almost an hour.

Sister flew out of T2 last week. She wasn’t allowed to enter the terminal until 3 hours before the flight and there was then an hour queue for check-in. Security took about 20 minutes after that.
A friend flew out of T4 on Sunday and took 90 minutes to get through check-in and security.
