TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a visa in Thailand, documents indicating your current location can include utility bills, bank statements, or employment letters that show your name and address. If you are applying from your home country, these documents work well. If you are applying from another country, you can submit a photo of your entry stamp combined with a hotel booking or receipt.

If you apply from your home country, use a utility bill, bank statement or such (as others already suggested).

If you apply from another country, i.e. another country in SEA, then take a picture of the entry stamp in your passport and merge it with a hotel booking/reciept.
