Hi all. I have a question. I want to apply for Dtv. I checked web site of Dtv and it writes as:

"Workcation: Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status"

Well, i am working as freelancer. I am a blog content writer. Do i need to proof it? If yes, how? I don't have any document for this.

Please advice ❤️

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for the Dtv visa as a freelancer, you need to provide proof of your professional activity despite not having a formal employment contract. This can include a portfolio of your work, client emails, invoices, and evidence of consistent income. Ensure you can show invoices for your services, any receipts of payments, your registration in the tax system, and ideally, a minimum amount in your bank account. Additional documents like tax returns may also strengthen your application.

Just go to the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand is too much of a hassle now. Philippines has a 3 years tourist visa. Vietnam has a 3 month visa straight up. Thailand days are over.

for DTV as a freelancer / digital nomad, you usually need to prove your professional activity.

Since you don’t have a formal contract, you can use alternative documents like:

• Portfolio of your work (blog posts, articles, published content)

• Client emails or invoices showing your freelance work

• Any proof of consistent income from your projects

This helps the consulate see that you’re an active professional, even without a formal employment contract.

You need to show you are making money doing it so just show regular invoices or payments coming into your bank account.

You show invoices to your customers and receipts of money into your bank account matched against the invoices. It also helps if you show tax returns or that you are registered in the tax system in your home country. Also examples of the work you have done and a minimum of 500k baht (or equivalent) in a standard personal bank account.

You can create a portfolio website quite easily. For blog writers I recommend blogspot as you can get one of their domains for free when you create a personal blog.

If you are selling your services on a platform like fiverr or upwork, etc. also submit your profile link.

Also submit any contract agreements you have and any proof of payment for these contracts.

Yes, you need to prove it. How do you get paid? Invoices, etc?

- if you get paid, don’t you have some sort of written contract/agreement? Wouldn’t that be proof?
