What do I need to know about applying for a DTV visa from India, particularly regarding interviews, payment methods, and bank statement requirements?
Applying for DTV via India.
1. I have heard some in person interviews are needed. Is it mandatory for everyone or is it case by case basis? For context I live in Bangalore and will apply via chennai embassy where I'll upload docs digitally and send DD vis an agent
2. Is DD the only way of payment? I have heard some cases where they transferred to the embassy's bank directly and sent the transaction receipt as proof and it worked. Is that true?
3. Is the bank statement needed for 3 months or 6months? I have seen both cases which is mandatory? And the amount needed is 10lac INR or 500K TBH? Isaw a document mentioning 10lac INR works

You need to check the payment system of the embassy you apply from, there is not one single form of payment. The number of bank statements required also depends on the embassy you apply from. You should check the embassy site you are applying from for the actual amount you need.
