I hope everyone is ok here, we were on the attempted Malaysia air flight on Friday Just gone that was suppose to connect in KL then go straight to Melbourne. And well guess what that never Happened.

I’m a resident in Australia on a NZ passport my whole family are living there and my Hubbie works there and they won’t let me back in to Australia. It has been Exhausting to be honest.

I’m on my Third cancelled flight.

So I like many of you are hoping that when this goes to cabinet tomorrow that the pass it so it will just renew it’s self every 30days till we can go home.

Stay safe.

oh ok. That is correct then. But it says on that page:

New Zealand citizens who normally reside in Australia (subclass 444) can come to Australia. You must carry proof of residency (driver's licence or documents in relation to your residency). Present it at check-in. For more information see: COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the Australian border

Go figure!

Yup. Australia is a govt full of crap heads. All they do is abuse, hold you (citizens) down, tax the sh!t outta you and sell all your air, water, grassland, cattle stations, and mineral rights to other countries and then charge the people 10-20 times more FOR THEIR OWN RESOURCES.

I dont know why any of you live there.

Stu Lee. I looked into that. You just need to reregister after 5 years. Same applies if you spend 5 years overseas. When you return to Aust to.live after 5 years you just reregister. Medicare gives you nothing outside Aust anyway but covers you if you go back for a short time eg holiday.
Stu **********
I heard of some such rule
Stu **********
Apparently if you haven't filed a tax return in the last 5 yrs your medicare is invalid or some crap

Whoever wrote that doesn't understand what "there, their, and they're" is all about. Hurts my brain reading shit like that

Foreign spouses can also get social security too.

Any foreign national on certain visas gets Medicare. Eg spouse visa (married to Aust citizen) , some foreign work visas.

@Harol*****

It's horrendous I agree , just horrible , but your young lady over there in NZ has pushed their hand to try and match each other .

It's a joke , a just a push for power , the reaction by both Australia and a power hungry NZ prime minister , they should be ashamed , breaking up families , setting one against another .
