Tod Daniels upon arrival to Bangkok where do I go to discuss my visa options. My son and I are entering on a tourist visa, my long term partner has a work permit. We were told to approach embassy/consulate in bangkok upon our arrival to see our options as an unmarried couple. Thanks Tod

TLDR : Answer Summary
Tod Daniels is seeking information on visa options upon arrival in Bangkok for himself and his son, who are entering on a tourist visa, while his partner holds a work permit. Comments indicate that there are limited options available for unmarried couples, particularly noting that having a work permit or a child together may not qualify them for a long-term visa. One comment mentions a foreign child visa that has a financial requirement.

Agree with Tod. There are no options I'm aware of, even if you have kids together. But if you find out anything different please let me know.

Unfortunately you have no options as an unmarried couple :/ That your partner legally works here is not enough of a reason for you to get a long term visa or extension based on that.

You might be able to get a visa based on supporting a foreign child in thailand but that visa has a financial requirement of 500K baht in the bank
