TLDR : Answer Summary
Finnish passport holders can enter Thailand without a visa using the Visa Exempt Entry method. There is no official limit on air entries, but land entries are capped at two per calendar year. Frequent travelers have reported making multiple trips annually without issues, as long as their stays are short (3-5 days).

a friend of mine usually comes 5-6 times a year without any problem but he stays only 3-5 days every time

Yes it is weird if it's not enough that you just show your cash if they would ask it.

Using a passport from Finland make you legit to use the Visa Exempt Entry method. It is limited by 2 entries by land border a calendar year and no limit if you fly in.

Because when you get a visa you buy it from them ๐
This what I was thinking. I dont understand why Embassy tells me to make Visa 2 times a year if I go 4 times to Thailand =/

Than you can use the Visa Exempt Entry method, which give you 30 days on each entry if you fly in. If you enter by land border you can only do this twice a calendar year.

Depends on how long you like to stay each visit.

This what I was thinking too. Usually I go 3 times by airplane and never had broblems. I asked from Royal Thai Consulate and they said max is 2 times a year but I think they are thinking more like Visa run. Im more like thinking January, April, September and December. Cant be so hard that I will need to get 2 different Visas.

There's no official limit if you enter by air. There's a max of two exemptions pr calendar year if you enter by land.
