In the past 12 months I have a METV that expired back in January plus two visa exempts.
My hotel (V Hotel Phnom Penh) organised the visa for me for $54 USD. I didn't have to go to the embassy at all and all I had to provide was Passport Photo, Print out of my bank balance and a flight out of the country within 90 days. They did this over 3 business days.
All in all, the service was $14 on top of the visa cost which saved me 4 taxi rides and a lot of heart ache/waiting.

A word of caution, last week a lot of foreigners had to stay for an extra one or two nights in Phnom Penh because the staff at Embassy delayed them.
