What are the steps and requirements for applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand with a business based in the UAE?
Hello. I applied for a DTV early january so I got a few days before my application is getting closed.
My business is in the UAE. I have a German passport.
This is what was requested from me:
An employment contract or a company based in a country outside of Germany: The submitted documents must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thai Embassy in the country where they were issued (in your case, in the UAE).
I have a trade license and company formation papers but it seems like extra steps are required, documents have to be legalized. Did anyone here go through the DTV process with a setup in Dubai?

You need full legalization, not just basic documents. For UAE documents, that means MOFA attestation in the UAE followed by Thai Embassy legalization in the UAE. Without both steps, Thailand will usually reject or delay the application.
Even with everything correct, DTV approvals are inconsistent right now. A lot depends on the officer reviewing your case. Make sure your documents clearly show active business operations, income, and legitimacy.

I did... Work and a recidency permit abroad. Freelance contact, condo in TH, enough money in all visa regards, etc etc and, my DTV application got rejected. No reason given. Good luck
