What is the experience for immigration on a DTV visa at Suvarnabhumi Airport?

Just wanted to share a quick update regarding immigration at BKK:

Arrived yesterday on the dtv visa, 2nd visit as first time was around 2 months.

Literally no questions asked and got stamped in at Suvarnabhumi in less than 30 seconds when it was my turn, the queue was huge tho even at 6 am.

I prepped bank statements just in case they asked but they weren't bothered at all. Smooth experience overall!

You dont need to show bank statements again once you have the DTV, unless you want to renew the visa within Thailand

What you read in this group can only be based on personal experiences.

A thai immigration can check if you still fullfill the visa requirements - thats covered by law. They rarely do it, but they can and they sometimes do. Expect the unexpected and be prepared.

Example (of another visa type): People have been denied entry for not carrying the required amount of cash. It wasn’t really enforced before, but authorities can decide to check at any time. These are discretionary spot checks — you never know when they’ll look closer. It may work 99 times, but that one time can cost you entry.

Means never be too sure and be prepared.

that 20k is required to enter for visa and non-visa holders. It has nothing to do with the DTV or any visa. Stop spending nonsense.

might just as well say expect the IO to demand you to do a backflip. Nonsense, 500k thb is needed during the approval process, not upon entry.
