Are there any rules or limitations on what the timeframe is to enter Thailand after having been granted a DTV? We are looking to apply for DTV now but potentially only arrive in thailand in 3-4 months. Many thanks if anyone has any info around this.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When granted a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), you have up to 5 years from the date of issuance to enter Thailand. However, it is generally advised by embassies not to apply for the visa more than 3 months in advance of your planned travel date to avoid issues with processing times and to align with entry timelines.
Follow the recommendations of most Embassies, not to apply more then 3 months before departure, and many embassies process by departure date, and then you will not get the visa, until 1-2 weeks before departure, so nothing gained by applying longer than the recommended time.

they are anonymous because of the spiteful and bitter responses. It affects the atmosphere of the group, reflects badly on ex pats and really is unnecessary as you can just scroll past.

Being anonymous doesn't change anything to prevent spiteful coments, so that's no reason to be anonymous.
