TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) requirements for traveling to Malaysia, starting from an unspecified date. Comments reveal confusion and issues with border openings, indicating that the land border was expected to open on March 1 but did not, and that travelers have faced challenges, such as being denied boarding due to lack of awareness by airlines regarding the VTL rules.

If you do make it through the red tape, no quarantine unless you test positive upon arrival. From my understanding it’s a free PCR at the airport somewhere between gate and baggage claim
You can book VTL through MySafeTravel as of today.
Here’s what I encountered:
Like the thai pass, you need to have flight booked and insurance bought (I paid 15$ through the platform for a 3 day trip) before working your way through the forms. Hotel booking is not required.
Issues:
1) I was vaccinated in USA and I do not have a QR code for my vaccine. This stops you dead in the water. I have emails and tweets out to MST and I’m hoping there is some resolution for me, as the VTL is advertised for ALL nationalities.
2) you need to register with the MySejahtera app—but when selecting your permanent residence there is a drop down menu for “state”. In that drop down only Malaysian states are listed.
After having maybe 10k sunk into this thing (rt flight, insurance on both sides, hotels on both sides—including sha plus on the thai side) I would strong not recommend the VTL. Go for Cambodia or wait until April 1st.
