TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent discussions highlight that Immigration at Chong Mek has begun enforcing the completion of the TM.6 form for foreigners entering Thailand. However, it is noted that this requirement has been in place for land border entries for some time. Starting May 1, 2025, all entries into Thailand will transition to the new Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), which must be completed online within 72 hours prior to arrival, marking a significant change in the immigration protocol.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)
Dca *****
only 8 land borders and 8 sea ports (yachts and cruise ships) suspended the use of the Paper TM.6 Arrival Card since 15 April 2024, but starting 01 May 2025, ALL of Thailand's borders will start using the TDAC Digital Arrival website

That's not new... The land border crossing entries have been required to complete the TM6 on entry. It's NOT ๐Ÿšซ the same as the New digital arrival card to be completed online within 72 hours of your arrival, required FROM May 1st
Ryan ********
@James *******
so those borders will require TM6 AND TDAC?

The idea that TDAC is a replacement for TM6 is a total lie then?
James ********
@Ryan *******
the TDAC replaces the TM6
Ryan ********
@James *******
so they will stop requiring TM6 on May 1st?
Bobby *******
@James *******
incorrect as the majority of the land borders stopped the TM6
James ********
@Bobby ******
some did... some did not. You are correct. Thanks ๐Ÿ‘

I remembered when I returned to thailand via the checkpoint near chiang rai, I did not fill up TM.6 though. Did I miss anything?

Edit: Sorry, I only returned to thailand via chiang rai.

@Darren ****
thank you for your reply. Let's say MANY land border crossing entries did continue to require the TM6.

They didn't just start doing it, they were one of the borders that never STOPPED doing it ๐Ÿ˜›

AND

come May 1st anyone entering thailand will have to fill out the online TDAC (Thailand Ditgital Arrival Card) to get in ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
